 Pure Line Seeds, Inc. produces several high quality varieties of green pea seed. Each variety goes through extensive trials to determine plant structure, pod quality, color, sieve size, disease resistance, heat tolerance, days to maturity and yield. Once the variety meets quality satisfaction the pea seed is sent to production. Pure Line Seeds pea seed categories consist of; First Early, Second Early, Mid Season, Late Season and finally a Petites, Snaps Snows category. First Early Varieties: First Early Varieties are those that get the first bloom on the 9th node making them the earliest maturing varieties. Processors use them to start their packing season while Fresh Market Growers fill roadside stands and markets with these first of the season delights. Average maturity is approximately 53-56 days with primarily single pod sets. |

Second Early Varieties: The varieties in this category achieve first bloom on the 10th - 11th node. Maturing in the 57-63 day range they can be planted at the same time as First Earlies to extend the early harvest season for Processors and Fresh Market Growers. Pod sets are primarily doubles. |

Mid Season Varieties: These varieties achieve first bloom on the 12th – 14th node. Maturing in the 64-69 day range they can be planted at the same time as First Earlies and be ready for harvest in the middle of the season. With double and triple pod sets these become the workhorses for Processors and Fresh Market Growers. Appealing to Home Gardeners. |

Late Season Varieties: Achieving first bloom on the 15th-16th node this category has the latest maturing varieties, approximately 70-72 days. They can be planted early in the season and used to finish pack for Processors and the late season finale for Fresh Market Growers. Heavy yields are supplied by the double and triple pod sets. Home Garden appeal as well. |

Petite Varieties: We use this category to showcase our very small sieve varieties. The average sieve size is between 2.0 and 3.0 for the very small sieve Processor and Fresh Market Grower. The node of first bloom varies between the 10th and the 15th, depending on the variety. |

Specialty Varieties: This category will show our Snow Peas and Snap Peas used by Processors and Fresh Market Growers worldwide. Small Sieve Varieties: The smallest in diameter, these beans will stay in the 1, 2, and 3 sieve range.
